WE’RE AWKWARD IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA. IS THAT OKAY?

Absolutely! 99% of our couples tell us they’re awkward having their photo taken, even the ones that might look super natural in our portfolio. Our job is to make you feel comfortable, break that awkward barrier and draw out your genuine selves. So don’t worry, you don’t need to be model pros, you just need to be honest, open, and remember how into each other you are, and you’ll be great!

HOW MANY  PHOTOS DO WE GET?

It depends on how long you've booked me for, and how many guests you have - but it's generally around 75-100/hour. For a couple/family shoot at least 50/hour.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET OUR PHOTOS?

Normally 2-4 weeks depending on how busy we are.

HOW MUCH COVERAGE DO WE NEED?

When determining how long you want covered by us it's best to figure out the very first thing you'd like photos of (i.e. getting ready, or just people arriving for the ceremony) - then work to the last photos you want (speeches, which can be planned before dinner if you like, or if you want crazy drunken dancing photos as well). A sweet spot is often around 6-8 hours, depending on what you think you'd like.

HOW DO WE BOOK YOU FOR OUR WEDDING?

Once your deposit has been made, your date is secured.

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF ENGAGEMENT SHOOTS?

Another thing that is becoming more popular is to organise a pre-wedding / engagement shoot. This is a very low key / no fuss opportunity to spend the afternoon hanging out at some place cool to get to first & foremost get to know each other a little better, and it also affords you the opportunity to get used to being in front of the camera. This can be organised prior to locking in anything concrete wedding-wise.

WILL YOU HOLD A DATE FOR US?

I can't hold a date for you, but I can let you know if someone else enquires about the same date before you've booked me. However, it is a first come, first served kind of thing - so whoever pays their deposit first secures the date.

DO YOU TRAVEL?

Without a doubt - We love to travel, and we can sort out something to make an overseas wedding more affordable for you. For interstate or overseas weddings, you just have to cover my costs for flights, 2-3 nights accommodation, and car hire - but depending on where and when, we might be able to come to a better agreement.

HOW MUCH TIME DO WE NEED FOR PORTRAITS?

Generally around 30 minutes is plenty, which doesn't include travel time. I always recommend to try and stick close to where your guests are instead of traveling far and wide - after all - it's all about the love, not the location. Being able to walk to the location is ideal - close, easy and minimal time away from your guests.

WHAT IS THE BEST TIME FOR PORTRAITS?

One thing you can't control on your wedding day is the weather. However, you can do a few things to try and get the best out of the light on the day - try and avoid having your outside ceremony or portrait time in the middle of the day when the sun is directly overhead and can cause harsh shadows. The last hour of light before sunset is always beautiful and dreamy. Don't be afraid of rain, wind and clouds - that's my favorite kind of weather to shoot in, and you will get amazing dramatic photos with stunning light!

If it's really sunny, we'll try and find an area of full shade. Find out when the sun will be setting, then try and allow 30-45 minutes for portraits approximately 60-90 minutes before sunset.
